I will make Q-Dir to be configurable what search tool to start in one of next Versions! 

If you want that default search be an external for example third party software!

As you already know the only missing feature in Q-Dir is the File search.
There is another file search tool I use which mimics the old good windows search, where you can search in files, search by file size, date, etc., it is called XSearch.

I already integrated it in Q-Dir as external program using "XSearch=XSearch.exe=%curdir%".
